 I'm going to try a new thing: once a week (probably on Friday's), I will post a few of my favorite Pinterest projects. The goal of this is to get me looking at all the things I've pinned, so that I might actually do some of the projects some day! This week, I'm going to start small. These are projects I feel that I could accomplish mostly with what I already have on hand.  Via She's Crafty Via Pinterest  This is a fantastic idea!! I am a stub-saver...I save ticket stubs from everything I've ever been to! And luckily, we stole were given a bunch of mason jars by J's parents. So, we're beginning to save money for and plan our kitchen remodel. We know it's going to be a long and expensive process, so we are trying to do as much research and planning and saving as possible! Unfortunately, we are unable to salvage any of the cabinets or countertops from the existing kitchen. The cabinets have been painted multiple times with visible brush strokes, and they also don't have any design aspect to them--just plain doors. Some spots of the countertop are actually detached from the lower cabinets! We CANNOT wait to get this process started! Every time I have to cook something in this kitchen, I get excited about having more storage and more counter space someday. Currently, we have to keep all extra small appliances in the spare bedroom closet downstairs!! We also don't have any storage for any serving dishes--those are in a box in the garage. We currently only have one upper cabinet for food storage, and the rest of the few cabinets are dishes an

So y'all know by now that we have 2 cats: Bella and Fiona. The cats are both fed in the master bedroom, which is at the end of the hall. So every time we walk down the hall, or even toward the hall, the cats think we are going back to the bedroom to feed them, and they run at full speed down the hall and slide on the turn into the bedroom. It started out as really cute and funny, until we noticed that if you catch the hardwood floor in just the right light, you can see where their claws have scratched up the floor all up and down the hallway. J's solution to the problem: de-claw the cats. Since they are both too old for that procedure, we needed a better plan: rugs. Runners, to be more specific. As anyone who has been shopping for rugs lately knows, they aren't cheap. And the hallway is just over 12' long, so this was bound to be a costly fix. Even at IKEA, a 6' runner we liked was $30 (not to mention, was out of stock!). At Target, I found a beautiful 7'
